GLUTEN FREE

We want everyone to enjoy our beer so being gluten free is important to us. We brew with malted barley to get a malt lager character, but we also brew with an enzyme to break down the gluten proteins. We lab test each batch before and after packaging and don’t release anything over 10ppm gluten count, and our brewery has been audited to be fully compliant with Coeliac UK requirements.

Our beer is legit. We’re certified by Coeliac UK and our beer has also scooped runner up at the Free From Awards.

“JUBEL is what made me realise I do in fact love gluten free beer! Peach is delicious and fruity, while Elderflower is really light. Grapefruit is so refreshing and zingy on a summer's evening! I really love the beers and the branding - and their cans are plastic free too, which is great!”

Jamie Nicholls @jamienichollsuk

Olympic snowboarder (gluten free) – 46k

“My favourite time to drink a Jubel is 100% after a long day up the hill riding, or after a long day in the office at 360 Jewellery. Grapefruit is my favourite beer to drink every time.”

“I’ve been loving JUBEL since I changed my diet to gluten free 18 months ago. Can’t beat cracking one open after a surf in Cornwall. Huge fan”

Benefits of gluten free beer

There is evidence to suggest that gluten free beer is less likely to cause bloating and drowsiness - two common complaints associated with drinking beer.

Gluten free beer also offers more choice to those with food allergies, intolerances or coeliac disease, particularly in a market dominated by beers with gluten. They also exclude animal derivatives, making them accessible to vegetarians and vegans as well.
